Showplace Productions Returns to Lamplight Equestrian Center with Spring Horse Shows

Wayne, IL – April 21, 2010 – The beautiful Lamplight Equestrian Center in Wayne, IL, will once again host Showplace Production’s Spring Warm-Up and renowned Spring Spectacular competitions for the 2010 season. Showplace Productions would like to remind everyone to get their entries in for the Showplace Spring Warm-Ups, returning to Lamplight on April 29-May 2, and May 6-9. The Showplace Spring Spectacular will return with three consecutive weeks of competition this year, running June 8 through Friday June 25. Showplace Productions is also excited to announce an exciting ‘Derby Day’ during their Spring Spectacular II. The 2010 Showplace Derby Day will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010. The day will feature a $15,000 Chronicle of the Horse/USHJA International Hunter Derby, a $5,000 USHJA 3’ Hunter Derby, and a $10,000 Open Jumper Speed Derby, all held in the Lamplight Equestrian Center’s Grand Prix Ring.

The judges of last year’s hunter derby all had great things to say about the quality of the class and Showplace Productions intends to make it bigger and better in 2010. Jimmy Lee of Keswick, VA, said that the entire show was “outstanding.” He added, “It was a real production, and not just a horse show, but a real event.”

Mark Jungherr of Gainsbury, MA, agreed that the horse show was, “really well done with a lot of effort.”

Frank Willard of Oak Ridge, NC, has judged a lot of hunter derbies and deemed Showplace Production’s “the best course that I have ever seen; the best track set.”

John Roper of Franklin, TN, called it, “a very well thought out course,” and “the best derby course I have ever seen.”
