Charlotte Jumper Classic Vendors Provide Shopping Opportunities

Written by: Jennifer Wood

Charlotte, NC --- At the 2008 Charlotte Jumper Classic, there will be opportunities for great shopping in between some of the best show jumping that the United States has to offer. More than 25 vendors will be lined up at the Charlotte Bobcats Arena on April 11-13 to offer some of the best equestrian themed shopping. The Charlotte Jumper Classic is North Carolina’s premier equestrian competition, hosting more than 200 horses in Uptown Charlotte and featuring $700,000 in prize money.

The Charlotte Jumper Classic is a signature fundraising event for the Bobcats Youth Foundation, which focuses on improving the lives of children and youth in the community. The upcoming 2008 Charlotte Jumper Classic will benefit the Bobcats Youth Foundation’s three signature initiatives: Building reading and technology centers, resurfacing outdoor basketball courts and supporting the Presbyterian Hospital Community Care Cruiser, a mobile health clinic providing needed healthcare to disadvantaged children.

Vendors at the Charlotte Jumper Classic will offer traditional equestrian clothing products, such as retail from Country Ride Saddlery, Southern States, Only Fools and Horses LLC, and Tack and Treasures.

Those wishing to incorporate a little sparkle into their wardrobe can find jewelry at Fat Annie’s Silver N Stuff, which features one-of-a-kind inlay jewelry with sterling silver. Decorating an equestrian’s home is easy with products from Frederique’s Studios, which offers exquisite hand painted equestrian art, Westwood, which produces glider chairs, Equestrian Exclusives for unique home accessories, and Wellington & Company Antiques, which has equestrian antiques and sporting art.

Some vendors sell specific products for horses, like ThinLine and EcoGold, which feature hi-tech saddle pads and tack. Sue Dodd can monogram and embroider specially bought items, and Leather The Real McCoy has handmade leather products.

Whether you’re at the Charlotte Jumper Classic riding or just watching, you can outfit yourself in the best fashions from Wish Clothiers and Dubarry of Ireland, who provides waterproof leather boots.

Eponaire, LLC offers Instructor/Rider communication systems, while the American Saddlebred Association’s North and South Carolina charter clubs will have promotional information about their organization.

When you attend the Charlotte Jumper Classic, be ready to watch fantastic show jumping action and browse the shops in between sessions!
