Over the Hill Farm Wins Eight Tricolor Ribbons

at Tampa Equestrian Festival

Tampa, FL --- Over the Hill Farm competed at the first two weeks of the Tampa Equestrian Festival, which is not far from their home base in Sanford, FL. Led by trainer Bill Schaub, the riders won eight tricolor ribbons over two weeks of competition.

One of the big winners was Shawn Casady. He piloted Up Til Dawn for Dearborn Stables to the championship in the Pony Hunters in week one after they won all four over fences classes. He was also reserve champion in the division on Bill Schaub’s Sunny. In the Children’s Pony Hunters, he rode Lionsway Farm’s Farmore Silk Stockings to the reserve championship. They were first, second, fourth, and fifth in the division. He competed in the equitation in the first week and was sixth in the USEF Medal and third in the ASPCA Maclay class.

In the second week, the Tampa Bay Classic, Casady swept the Medium Pony Hunter division. He and Sunny were champions, while Up Til Dawn was the reserve champion. He was the reserve champion in the Large Pony Hunters on Dr. Betsee Parker’s Liseter Clever Star. He and Lifeline, owned by Paula Ann Hallman, received top ribbons in the division. Riding Sunny, he was champion again in the Green Pony Hunters. They won two over fences classes in the division, and he also won the USEF Pony Medal.

Parker Wright captured the championship during the first week in the Children’s Pony Hunters on Surf’s Up, owned by Deborace Nace. They won four classes in the division. He also received ribbons both weeks in the Small Pony Hunters on Mini Me, owned by Nicolette Sherry.

In week two, there were also top pony contenders in the Medium and Green divisions. Halo and Ashley LeCroy won a class, and Casady rode First Impression to ribbons. In the Green Ponies, LeCroy and Everybody Loves Raymond placed in all four over fences classes. Lauren Hogan piloted Glitterati to top ribbons, and Casady rode Ghiradelli to great placings.

Assistant trainer Molly Sewell was a top competitor in the Pre-Green Hunters with Alexandra Ware’s Antique and Ashley Kennedy Whitner’s Cecret Weapon. Antique went on to finish first, fourth, and fourth in the Non-Thoroughbred Hunters. She and Whitner’s Larkspur were second, third, fourth, and fifth in the Green Working Hunters. Whitner and Larkspur posted top results in the Amateur-Owner Hunters in week one.

At week two, Lauren Hogan of Tampa, FL, placed third and fifth in the Small Junior Hunters on Madison Miller’s Pacino and rode her horse Between Dreams to top ribbons in the Large Junior Hunters. She also placed in the Equitation 15-17 division.

Roberta Previ and her new horse Salute were second, third, fifth, and sixth in the Adult Amateur Hunters in week two. They also finished fifth in the Ariat Adult Medal class.

Over the Hill Farm competes this week in the third and final show of the Tampa Equestrian Festival, the Tournament of Champions, on April 1-5.
