Save The Date! Kentucky Spring Horse Shows Just Around the Corner

March 3, 2008

Lexington, KY --- The Kentucky Spring Horse Shows are fast approaching! Held at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington every year, the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows are an annual stop on the show circuit for the very best hunters and jumpers in the nation. The first week of competition, the Kentucky Spring Horse Show, is scheduled for the week of May 7-11. The Kentucky Spring Classic will follow from May 14-18, 2008.

The two-week series will host two $30,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic Grand Prix CSI 3* events, as well as the 2008 Legacy Cup, the $55,000 Commonwealth Grand Prix CSI 3*, and the $55,000 Mary Rena Murphy Grand Prix CSI 3*, which is a member event of the AGA Grand Prix Series. The $30,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic Grand Prix CSI 3* classes are part of the Hagyard Challenge Series, a series of seven major show jumping competitions featuring $215,000 in prize money. These classes are also the first two events in the Hagyard Challenge Series’ $50,000 Leading Rider Bonus.

The beautiful Kentucky Horse Park provides equestrians with ample stabling, numerous show rings and spacious riding areas. It is the future site of the 2010 World Equestrian Games and home to the United States Equestrian Federation. Vast cross country fields, an indoor arena, and the scenic Johnson Grand Prix Arena are just a few of the amenities available to exhibitors at the Kentucky Horse Park. Downtown Lexington offers fine dining and shopping, hotels are conveniently located near the horse park, and the competition provides classes for riders with a variety of experience levels.

Produced by Kentucky Horse Shows, LLC, the Kentucky Spring Horse Shows’ prize list is now available online at www.kentuckyhorseshows.com.
