Kentucky Summer Horse Show Sponsors Contribute to Hagyard Challenge Series and Leading Rider Award

Lexington, KY --- The Kentucky Summer Horse Shows, held at the beautiful Kentucky Horse Park in Lexington, will continue with the Hagyard Challenge Series, a series of seven major show jumping competitions that offers $170,000 in prize money. The first week of competition, the Kentucky Summer Horse Show, will be held from August 1-5, 2007, with the Kentucky Summer Classic following on August 8-12. The $30,000 Hagyard Lexington Classic Grand Prix classes are scheduled for Thursday, August 2, and Thursday, August 9, in the Sheila C. Johnson Arena.
The Hagyard Challenge Series is held at the park throughout the summer, with the final event, the $50,000 World Cup qualifying grand prix, scheduled for the Kentucky National Indoor Horse Show on September 28, 2007. This year, the top point getter of the summer-long succession of classes will be awarded the Leading Rider Award, worth $30,000.

What:
Two of the nation’s premier equestrian competitions, featuring four grand prix classes, one of which is sanctioned by the American Grand Prix Association. Both shows are member events of the Washington International Horse Show Championships and the 2007 North American League finals.
The Kentucky Spring Horse Shows proudly host the Haygard Challenge Jumper Series, which offers $170,000 in prize money. This series features seven grand prix events throughout the summer at the Kentucky Horse Park and is made possible by the sponsorship of the Hagyard Equine Medical Institute.

Admission is free to the public. The Kentucky Horse Park charges a $3.00 parking fee.
Parking:
The Kentucky Horse Park charges a $3.00 daily parking fee. Horse Show Exhibitors may
purchase a weekly parking pass at the main Horse Park entrance for $5.00.
VIP Table Seating:
Front row reserved tables of eight will be available each week in the Mesker Pavilion at the Johnson Ring at a price of $500 per week and will entitle you and your guests to VIP seating for the $40,000 Kentucky Summer Grand Prix on Saturday evening, August 4th and the $40,000 Kentucky Classic Grand Prix on Saturday evening, August 11th. Wristbands and VIP parking passes will be available in the Show Office.
