Jane Forbes Clark Named President of USET Foundation

Gladstone, NJ --- At the 2007 United States Equestrian Team Foundation (USET Foundation) Annual Meeting, held January 12 in Louisville, KY, it was announced that Jane Forbes Clark has been named as the new President and CEO of the USET Foundation.

Clark takes over the role from Armand Leone, Jr. Leone will succeed Frank V. Lloyd as Chairman of the Board. In additional changes to the USET Foundation's officers, Lawrence M. Tribble was named as the new Treasurer. The Foundation's Vice-President Brownlee O. Currey, Jr. and Secretary Eric L. Straus will continue in their present roles. Three new members were named to the Board of Trustees - Jane Thomas, Lawrence M. Tribble, and Stephen T. Rojek. Frank D. Chapot was named as an Honorary Lifetime Trustee for his extraordinary contribution to equestrian sport.

Clark, a member of the USET Foundation Board of Trustees at the time of her appointment as President, has held a number of officer positions in the equestrian industry, including President of the former American Horse Shows Association (AHSA now USEF). "I'm very happy to be elected. For decades, Gladstone and the USET have exemplified excellence," Clark stated. "I am committed to sustaining and building on that legacy."

"I'm looking forward to spending more time with USET Foundation Executive Director, Bonnie Jenkins, and the staff and seeing where we're going and how we're getting there," Clark added.

In 2006, the USET Foundation awarded a grant of $2 million to the USEF for their High Performance programs, which helped the teams achieve the most successful World Equestrian Games in U.S. history. This year, the Foundation plans to match that figure, plus award an additional $125,000 to provide for the High Performance athletes and support staff that will be traveling to the Pan American Games in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in July.

On February 10, 2007, at the Winter Equestrian Festival in Wellington, Florida, the USET Foundation will host a party to launch the organization's quadrennial campaign and the 2007 fundraising season.

The United States Equestrian Team Foundation supports the competition, training, coaching, travel and educational needs of America's elite and developing international High Performance horses and athletes in partnership with the U.S. Equestrian Federation.
